Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
Find quick answers to common questions about the Pennyclip experience.
Does Pennyclip come in multiple colours?
There is only one colour (Cypress Bay) available at this time. We may release other colours in the future.
How many bags can one clip hold at once?
The Pennyclip is lab-tested to hold over 1KG. Depending on the size of the waste, you can easily secure 2 to 3 knotted bags simultaneously without any risk of the clip snapping.
Will Pennyclip fit my leash?
Please see the compatibility section of each product on the product page to determine if your leash will work with Pennyclip. If unsure, send us a message via the "Contact us" link at the bottom of the Pennyclip.com homepage.
Is the material safe for my dog if they try to chew it?
While the Pennyclip is made from non-toxic, high-grade polymers, it is not a chew toy. We recommend attaching it out of your dog’s reach on the leash to ensure durability.
What if I walk in extreme weather?
No worries! The Pennyclip is built for the outdoors. It’s UV-resistant (won't fade) and cold-crack resistant, meaning it stays flexible and strong in both freezing winters and hot summers.
Will the spikes on the bottom of Pennyclip (Flat/Round versions) damage my leash?
Pennyclip will not damage common mesh-style leashes (both flat and round style) as the spikes are not sharp and the forces involved are small. However, Pennyclip is not compatible with hard-surfaced leashes made from materials like leather and vinyl, and damage may occur. Pennyclip won’t damage leashes made of chain links, but the clip may slide on the uneven, slippery surface, so it is also not compatible.
Will the jaws of the clip break through the bag?
No. The opposing teeth in the Pennyclip jaws have rounded ends that have no edges to tear the bag. It isn’t necessary to push the mass in your waste bag between the jaws though. The clip works effectively when you pull the mass in the bag snug against the clip but not inside it. As long as you have little to no gap between the mass in your bag and the clip, it will be stable.
